Thirley Banks Cottage is beautifully situated in Harwood Dale in the North York Moors National Park, with glorious views of unspoilt countryside and surrounded by miles of farmland, forest and moorland.
Accommodation is in sympathetically converted barns attached to the 200-year-old main house but each with its own entrance. The comfortably furnished rooms have double or twin beds and en-suite bathroom with bath and shower, TV, radio, hair dryer and tea and coffee making facilities. There is a laundry available. Access to Thirley Banks Cottage is easy and there is plenty of off-road parking.
The dining room is in the main house where a full English breakfast is served using free-range eggs and locally produced bacon and sausages. Two and three-course evening meals (vegetarian if required) are available by arrangement, or there are tearooms, inns and restaurants only a short drive away.

the coast is only a few minutes away with
dramatic cliffs, rocky and sandy beaches,
and quaint fishing villages such as Robin
Hood's Bay, Runswick Bay and Staithes.
Whitby, rich in history and famous for its
connections with Captain Cook, is 15 miles
away and here you can explore the
Abbey and picturesque habour, browse
around its wonderful shops and visit
interesting museums.
Scarborough, Englands oldest seaside resort,
is 8 miles away and has an ancient castle set
high on the cliffs above two marvellous sandy bays, a pretty harbour and old town. There are many shops and restaurants and a visit to the Sea Life Centre is not to be missed.
The historic city of York is around an hour's drive away and makes a great day out - see its beautiful Minster, walk around the city walls, explore the old Shambles and visit many attractions including the Jorvik Viking Centre, many museums and art galleries.
